we can go west, towards the sea, or east, towards the forest. this weekend, we did both. it was supposed to be grey and rainy, but the sun came out now and again.

it has been a long, long autumn with lots of work and travel. I find that I get a bit grumpy when I don't get to take photos, so I make a point of getting the camera out during the weekends, at least.

Gustav Mahler said "With the coming of spring, I am calm again." I do feel the same way. When spring comes, I blow the winter dust off my camera, and remember to bring it with me once again. The light is no longer just a short glimpse, but rather a pleasant surprise each evening as the days grow longer. Even though nature is still quite brown and grey, I feel calm and happy.
